Katarzyna Bialik-Wąs, PhD Eng., Adjunct at CUT

Doctor Katarzyna Bialik-Wąs in 2009 graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Technology, specialization: Light Organic Technology at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Cracow University of Technology. In 2015 she completed doctoral studies at FCET of CUT and on the basis of a doctoral dissertation titled “Preparation of acrylic hydrogels modified with active substances” she received a PhD degree in the faculty of Technical Science, discipline: Chemical Technology. In 2016, she completed postgraduate studies in the field of Biomaterials – Materials for medicine at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. Currently, she works at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology at FCET of CUT as Adjunct.

Doctor Katarzyna Bialik-Wąs is a co-author of 21 scientific reports (including 13 with the Impact Factor according to the Journal Citation Report), as well as numerous applications presented at domestic and international scientific conferences, seminars, symposia and scientific congresses. Moreover, she is a co-author of 6 patent applications and 3 granted patents . Furthermore, Doctor Katarzyna Bialik-Wąs as co-member of research teams, worked on inventions, which were appreciated worldwide, receiving numerous medals and awards at international fairs and exhibitions.

Dagmara Malina, PhD Eng., Adjunct at CUT

Doctor Dagmara Malina in 2009 was graduated from the Biotechnology-Interfaculty Studies of the University of Agriculture in Krakow; in 2010 she finished postgraduate studies in the field of Biomaterials – Materials for Medicine at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. In 2013 she completed doctoral studies at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Cracow University of Technology in the field of Chemical Technology. In 2014, on the basis of a doctoral dissertation titled “Preparation and characterization of hydroxyapatite modified with selected metals”, she obtained a PhD degree in the field of Technical Sciences in the scientific discipline of Chemical Technology. Currently, she is an adjunct at the Institute of Chemistry and Inorganic Technology at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Cracow University of Technology.

In 2012, as a PhD student, she completed two scientific internships: a national at the Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry at Polish Academy of Sciences, and foreign at the Institute of Geotechnics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Košice. In 2018, as part of the Erasmus”+” programme for academic teachers, she conducted academic classes at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Comenius University in Bratislava.

Previous scientific achievements of Doctor Dagmara Malina has been documented in 48 published scientific publications (28 of them have the Impact Factor according to the Journal Citation Report), 17 chapters in monographs and were presented at 144 national and international scientific conferences, seminars, symposia and scientific congresses. In addition, the application character of her studies was confirmed by 6 granted patents and 8 patent applications. Additionally, inventions that were created as part of the team’s work have been appreciated on the international forum, receiving over 60 medals and awards at the top-ranked international fairs and exhibitions.

Klaudia Pluta, MSc.

Klaudia Pluta in 2014 graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Technology at the Cracow University of Technology, where then she undertook doctorate studies. In 2016, she completed postgraduate studies in the field of Biomaterials – materials for medicine at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. She is currently an employee at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Technology at FCET of CUT.

Klaudia Pluta is a co-author of 13 scientific reports (including 7 with the Impact Factor according to the Journal Citation Report), 3 chapters in monographs, numerous reports presented at national and international scientific conferences, seminars, symposia and scientific congresses, as well as 3 patent applications. Studies of the research team she works with have been recognized on the international forum, receiving medals and the highest distinctions at international fairs and exhibitions.

Małgorzata Miastkowska, PhD Eng.

Małgorzata Miastkowska, PhD works as an assistant professor in Institute of
Chemistry and Organic Technology at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at
Cracow University of Technology. In 2008-2009 she worked in Margo Cosmetics as a technology specialist. She completed scientific internships at the Institute of Catalysis and Surface Physicochemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and at the Institute of Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia,Colloid and Interfacial Chemistry Group in Spain.

Dr Miastkowska was a scholarship holder of the “Doctus -Małopolska scholarship funded for PhD students “. In 2011-2018 she participated in research projects entitled: 1) “Realization of 9 innovative products – recipes of professional natural cosmetics with regenerating and anti-aging properties for skin care, in accordance with the Ecocert rules “, 2) “Preparation of the recipe and physicochemical properties of ecocosmetics testing ” and 3) “Creating ecological and safe water-based perfumes, with fragrances without allergens. ‘

Moreover, in 2014-2015 she completed an internship in a Laboratory of Cosmetic Analyzes “Nova” S.C. Anna Gołębiowska-Pilch Marcin Pilch as part of the project “Knowledge, practice, experience – the key to business success ” In addition, Dr Małgorzata Miastkowska is a co-author of 22 scientific papers (including 16 with Impact Factor index according to the Journal Citation Report), many applications presented at national and international scientific conferences, seminars, symposia and scientific congresses. Moreover Dr Miastkowska is a co-author of 8 patent applications and 2 successful industry implementations. Her scientific interest mainly focuses on the development of formula for modern forms of products used in skin inflammatory and burn scars treatment.

Anna Sienkiewicz, PhD Eng., Research and Didactic Assistant at CUT

Doctor Anna Sienkiewicz is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Cracow University of Technology, where she completed both Master’s (specialty: Polymer Technology) and Doctorate studies. In 2017, on the basis of a doctoral dissertation titled “Synthesis and properties of new epoxy-polyurethane materials obtained using modified vegetable oils”, she defended a PhD degree in Technical Sciences in the scientific discipline of Chemical Technology.

Doctor Anna Sienkiewicz is a co-author of 7 scientific publications (total IF = 19.367), 18 publications in conference materials and monographic publications, and 20 presentations (including 12 poster and 8 oral communications) at national and international scientific conferences. Currently, Doctor Anna Sienkiewicz is employed as a Research and Didactic Assistant at the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Polymers at the FECT of the CUT. Doctor Anna Sienkiewicz has many years of experience in independent research including organic synthesis and analysis of processes and obtained materials using the following methods: GPC, MALDI-TOF, 1H and 13C NMR, FT-IR, rheological analysis as well as the analysis of their selected mechanical properties, thermal stability and morphology.
